Workshops and mentorships
Mentorship program of ACE Traductores
Mentor in the sixth edition of the ACE Traductores mentorships programme. I offered guidance and support on writing reading reports and entering the publishing world as an editorial and literary translator, drawing on best practice.
Workshop on translating classics
A workshop focusing on how to retranslate a classic, in which I discuss the evolution of language, using my retranslation of Anne Frank’s first diary from Dutch into Spanish as a starting point, as well as reviewing the history of the diary and how I approached writing the foreword.
Private tutoring
Personalised tutoring on how to write original manuscripts, offering ongoing guidance to improve the manuscript, as well as advice on how to break into the publishing world. Tutoring in literary translation and how to enter the world of publishing translation, as well as guidance on writing reading reports and proofreading sample translations.
